To say I was extremely disappointed with the service at the overpriced Manana Garage would be putting it mildly. The hostess there very adamantly refused to give us a certain table because "there might be a larger party that would need it". The place was was three quarters empty and that table was never used. Moreover, I saw two waitresses later pushing together two tables to make a larger one (for no reason). The reason why we needed that certain table was to accomadate my 73-year old obviously handicapped mother. I really got the impression that working-class local people were no longer welcome there. I won't be back. There are better resteraunts with better prices and way better service in Central Maui. - Evil Larry , posted 05/22/05 |
