Ok, we are a Burner family that wants to keep our place in what is usually referred to as Huelo/Coastal Haiku on Maui's lush N. Shore.
We've posted this on craigslist, and it would be fantastic to find someone or a couple that has more in common with us as tribesters and possibly Burners. We have a toddler, so you have to be toddler friendly. (Once you meet this kid, your heart will melt)

Aloha (This rental is available now, or for Nov. 1st move-in).
This beautiful home is conveniently located near the Hana Hwy. (makai side) yet without the noise.
It's in a wonderful quiet neighborhood which is quite hidden among all the greenery.
The house has fabulous views of nature from all of the windows and an approximate 130º view of the ocean from both floors. Nice sunrises.

The house has a relatively luxurious feel. It is set up to be able to be split into two dwellings, but the great kitchen is downstairs and the amazing bathroom is upstairs, so we'd like to share the whole place with a spirit of community. *Our neighbor is building a house next door, so there is a possibility of reduced rent for the coming months. It is downhill from us and won't obstruct the ocean view, but we don't know how long it will take.
"We" are two mature youngish adults, (late 30's early 40's, not a "couple") who've known one another for about 6 years --a single male and a single mom w/ a vibrant toddler.
There are a few possibilities that we are open to regarding the new resident, including a single, or a couple or someone with a young child.
We'd like to rent the largest bedroom with a walk-in closet, yet which room to rent and the price of rent are potentially negotiable.
We are eco and spiritually conscious. If that speaks to you, lovely. If not, I'm sure we can find common ground and share space with Aloha and harmony.
The house is very airy, bright & spacious. It has a laundry room and clothesline. As noted above, but perhaps not clearly, it has 2 full bathrooms and 2 full kitchens. There are 4 bedrooms of various size and set-up. It has two very large living spaces (to be shared) with abundant room for yoga asana practice or dinner parties. While a huge TV would fit physically, it wouldn't fit our needs. We don't have one and don't particularly want one playing regularly in the shared space.
The upstairs has vaulted ceilings in the "great room" and two big skylights that open. It has a fairly large deck with a hammock and bistro table. Breakfast on the covered deck is delightful.
Upstairs, the N-NE-E is almost all windows looking out on the ocean and the palms, pines, and other greenery.
The one partially enclosed bedroom space is on this floor which a current tenant will probably use, but the rest up here is shared space.
**The bathroom upstairs has a magnificent tub w/ Haleakala view through wall-size windows looking out on the all natural landscape/sky-scape.
It's also got a gorgeous shower with a glass brick wall for extra day light.
There are two large bedrooms on the ground floor. You could rent the entire 2BR downstairs for $1300.
This floor has a very large kitchen with a dishwasher, and it's open to the living room and dining area --all with expansive views of the ocean and greenery too. Perfect for entertaining or for sanctuary.
Bamboo floors, stone/tile in the bathrooms.
There are two covered front porches/lanais at two different entries.
There is some storage space, but not a lot. Best if the walk-in closet works for you, but we can probably make it work if you need more.
There is room for some furniture in the shared spaces.
The large dining room does not yet have a table and chairs, but there is a smaller 4-chair table upstairs. Another couch and side/end tables would fit nicely with no crowding.
We keep the home clean, pretty organized & tidy. Looking for same habits from you in shared spaces.
The toddler will need some latitude for toys & play in shared spaces, but well within reason and with respect to others' needs. We envision an adult living space and a kid living space, as there is plenty of room for both!
Plenty of room for organic gardening on the land which is beautifully landscaped.
Water (rain water, plenty) and garbage included. Electricity (MECO) and wireless are shared costs. Month to month with possibility for a year's lease.
First mo. + 1 mo. rent deposit to move in.
