getting wise on WisdomWay

Directions:

From Highway 130, turn onto Paradise Drive into Hawaiian Paradise Park (HPP). Follow Paradise until 14th Street. Make a left onto 14th Street. WisdomWay is about halfway down the street on the left. Please allow the Aloha Patrol staff members to assist you with parking.

Requests and Guidelines:

We also request the honoring of the policies and guidelines set forth by WisdomWay and Ecstatic Dance to facilitate peace and harmony for all. Some requests and reminders for us all are:

* Ecstatic Dance continues to be a drug and alcohol free event. This policy carries into the parking areas at WisdomWay as well as within the building. There is no smoking on the grounds as well.

* No dogs allowed on the property or parking areas.

* ALL dancers are asked to bring their own water and water containers. The water supply at WisdomWay is catchment, and water will not be provided.

* Parents and caregivers are responsible for monitoring the activity of their children. There will be an outdoor area designated for children to gather and play. Parents, please share the supervision of this area with one another. Also, the Wednesday night dance will resume as an adult-only event.

* Consider carpooling to the Dance. Parking is mostly on the road and is limited.

* Please pack out what you bring in! Be responsible for your own items. Pick up your trash and any left by your neighbor. Mahalo for your kokua.

service exchange ops

The stewards are seeking support for E- Dance for the Sunday and Wednesday dances this week. We're looking for friendly, trusty facilitator friends who'd love to serve the community as Greeters (at the door) or Aloha Patrol (outside with parking), and also 2 people to be our Clean Up duo.

The Greeter and Aloha Patrol positions ask you to greet the family, hold space, direct traffic, communicate clearly, channel support which is both firm and gentle, and inspire a safe and harmonious flow of all things. In terms of exchange for these two roles, we are offering each Greeter and each Aloha Patrol person two complimentary dance passes in exchange for service. These passes will be presented to you at the end of your shift, and can be used at any future Ecstatic Dance.

The Clean-Up duo will assist with the take down, clean-up, make nice, clear out process at the end of dance, and for their exchange, they will be granted a no charge admittance to the very dance that they will be serving after for.

Here's how it's gonna go down:..

Greeters / Door (1 per dance):
· Sit at the door n greet people with your yummiest aloha smile! Ensure that everyone signs the liability release form. Receive pre-paid passes. Direct the music facilitators etc. toward their special sign-in list. Hold space for the pOt o GOld - our magickal* donation jar for funds going to support our next E Dance movements. Answer questions. Assist with whatever needs arise.

· Sunday dance: 9:30 - 1:00 ~Orient with -e-lizabeth when arrive. Join all facilitators for seed circle from 9:45-10:15. Doors open at 10:15 ~ anchor the door all the way through end of closing circle at 1:00.
· Wednesday dance: 6:30-10:00 ~ Orient with -e-lizabeth when arrive. Join all facilitators for seed circle from 6:45-7:00. Doors open at 7:00 ~ anchor the door all the way through end of closing circle at 9:45. Help with cleaning up entry table til 10:00.

Aloha Patrol (2 spots per dance):
· Anchor the outdoor zone......patrol the parking lot, street parking, and sides/backyard of church. Greet folks as the drive up. Show em where to park and help organize cars most efficiently. Answer questions about the flow of the day. Lovingly remind people of the policies: no drugs n alcohol, no dogs...and negotiate these situations if they arise. Encourage everyone to clear out after dance to honor our time boundaries. Assist with whatever comes up.

· Sunday dance: 9:00 - 1:30 ~Orient with -e-lizabeth when arrive for full low-down. Complete with -e-lizabeth at 1:30pm
· Wednesday dance: 6:00 - 10:30 ~Orient with -e-lizabeth when arrive for full low-down. Complete with -e-lizabeth at 10:30pm

Clean Up duo (2 spots per dance):
· Assist with general clean-up of space, to possibly include equipment and/or furniture movement, sweeping, general pick-up, cleaning of bathrooms, reorganizing space, etc.

· Sunday dance: from Closing Circle break until complete (approx. 1 hr.) ~Orient with Craig when the Circle breaks for full low-down. Complete with Craig when finished.
· Wednesday dance: from Closing Circle break until complete (approx. 1 hr.) ~ Orient with Craig when the Circle breaks for full low-down. Complete with Craig when finished.

If you know someone who'd love to serve in this way...especially someone who doesn't have cash for a ticket but wants to dance, please recommend em to us.

Mwah! Big kisses to you all for your kind and generous service in aLL ways.

the contribution Word

Just a little touch in about the Ecstatic Dance Contribution Evolution... We are continuing the movement of the new contribution fee system which values the Ecstatic Dance experience at $10/person.

As previously announced, we're easing into our new $10 contribution fee over time. Entry was $5 in June, is $8 in July, and will be $10 in August. Per adult. Kids 12 and under are free.

We will continue to offer service contribution slots. If you are interested in contributing in this way for a future dance, please be sure to write your name and contact info on our Service Contribution clipboard at the Greeter's station this week.

the Pot o' Gold

Ecstatic Dance is still in need of additional financial support in order to come out of the red and into the black.

During last Sunday's dances, we put The Pot o' Gold out on the Greeter's table as a vessel to accept donations for Ecstatic Dance. Deep, heart~filled Mahalos to all who contributed.

This week, we will make this available once again, and we again offer up a request for support in this way. There are many expenses that are piled up right now for Ecstatic Dance, and your help is needed now more than ever. Please consider whether you can donate a little extra at this particular time for Ecstatic Dance, and to assist in it's new unfoldings and its rebirth into Abundance!

the future

At this point, the only dances that we have for- sure-secured at WisdomWay, are this week's two upcoming dances. Beyond that we are still staying open to feel out, see, hear, receive all forms of input and communications as to whether the continuation of Ecstatic Dance at WisdomWay is workable for the all of the aLL.

We value your input on this immensely, so please share with us the ups, downs, upside-downs, and inside-outs of your experience of all aspects of the journey of dancing in and with this space.

Also, if we do continue in this space and with the pre-pay pass flow, we are looking into a Hilo venue to serve as a pass distributor for us to serve all you out-of-Puna folk. Thank you for your suggestions and expressions on this, and you will surely be kept in the loop on all the future loop-de-loops of your eVeR~dancing E-Dance!

and on and on and on we roll...

Jumping with JOY!
